Brilliant Bokeh Photography And How To
Bokeh Photography as explained below, takes the out of focus light to create a beautiful images. Being a photographer myself, it has always interested me how photographers can create such an amazing “blur/haze” within the photograph without distracting the eye. In this post, Designussion showcases some brilliant examples of bokeh photography.
Bokeh (derived from Japanese, a noun boke 暈け, meaning “blur” or “haze”) is a photographic term referring to the æsthetic quality of the out-of-focus areas of an image produced by a camera lens using a shallow depth of field.[1] Essentially, bokeh is an aesthetic and qualitative measure of light distortion in the out-of-focus areas of an image, and is primarily caused by lens aberrations and aperture shape. How Do I Do This Myself?
Seeing as I am interested in photography myself I too asked that question. For my personal use, I collected a couple of brilliant tutorials too that really helped me out so here they are, some helpful tutorials on how to create your own bokeh in photography.

Great article, I like bokeh photography and I tried some test when I was at design school.
Normally it was based on time exposure and diaphragm aperture.

Thanks for these … really interested to follow some of these up, and see how the ‘real deal’ is done. It’s such a happening trend in design at present .. seems to be popping up in web design, tv (UK) .. film … all over at the ‘mo.
One of my fondest memories as a kids is a rare trip to the cinema (yes, that long ago that this was a real treat) … and the lead ad for the cinema features bokeh photography of sparks and flames …. stunning. Now, whenever I see this type of effect, it brings all that back ..
