Gaston Cantens, 50, a chief member of the Florida House of Representatives, was born on 25 October 1960 in Miami Florida. The son of Cuban exiles, Gaston E. Cantens y Rodriguez-Arias and Teresa Fernandez de Cordova y Mora and later got married to Ana I. Tejeda. The happy family lived together and had three son naming, oldest son Michael Gaston, middle son Christopher Ignacio, and youngest Joseph Ignacio.
Followed by his ancestors, in the period of 1979, he got graduated from the same, Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. Later, received a B.A. degree from the University of Miami in 1982 and graduated from St. Thomas University Law School in 1992.
Shortly completing through his learning tenure, he started working as an assistant State attorney for the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida (1995-1998). He was a Director of the Dade County Bar Association (1196-1999) and a Director of the Cuban-American Bar Association (1997). Mr. Cantens was elected to the Florida House of Representatives as a Republican for District 114 in 1998 and re-elected in 2000, and 2002.
Now, Gaston Cantens is the vice- president of Florida Crystals Corporation, a leading sugar company in Palm Beach country covers up the total land area of 187,000 acres. The company has the total capacity to produce seven tons of sugar every year.
